From the Fluval range, this 8kg Bio-Stratum substrate is made from 100% natural volcanic soil from Mount Aso, Japan, and infused with dormant beneficial bacteria that activate on contact with water to kickstart the nitrogen cycle. The 1mm porous granules allow delicate roots to penetrate deeply, while providing additional biological filtration for improved water quality. Rich in nutrients, minerals, and trace elements, Bio-Stratum promotes explosive plant growth, enhances colour, and helps maintain slightly acidic, soft water conditions ideal for plants, tropical fish, and shrimp.
