I keep 2 budgies in this cage & they love it. The reason I chose this is because the front fully opens so it suits my birds who have free reign to fly around the attic rooms so they are only shut in to sleep. The flat top is great for them to run about on and they often choose to sit in the cage (with the front wide open) and survey their realm. The only criticism is that the feeder tray covers are badly fitted and don't click securely in place. Those covers are vital for keeping poo out of the food and water but I keep having to make sure they are secured. Otherwise this is a fabulous little cage for free flying birds who like to come and go. It is too small for a bird to be shut in all day though
